Christian is still out of town so I’m keeping myself busy with blogging, more decorating, and hopefully a few trips to a coffee shop to finally start on my novel (nope! Haven’t even started yet, I just have a million emails I’ve sent to myself – full of notes.) Anyway, so with him being away, we text a lot more than we usually do. A few days ago, he came up with a game: Emoji Song Blitz. It’s SO MUCH FUN.
and another one from Christian…
And then finally, I came up with one…
Which then led to a full on marathon…
ha! So much fun! Will you be playing Emoji Song Blitz this weekend? Use the hashtag #emojisongblitz – I want to see how creative you guys get!
It’s Friday which means it’s time for Blogger Love with All The Joys! There were so many amazing posts this past week, oh my gosh – it was hard to choose just a few.
To Flourish or to Fail by The Queen in Between. Definitely my favorite read of the week, wow. It was so good, I read quite a few paragraphs more than once… letting her reminders and message really sink in. Favorite Line: “Your past does not determine who you are. Your past prepares you for who you are to become.”
Passing Judgement by Simply Complex Mom. Another one that was SO good and had so many great reminders. Favorite Line: … a questionable interaction can alter our perception of another, causing us to bypass what might be an incredible relationship.”
Awkward Warning: Spray Tan Edition by The Celebrating Momma. HILARIOUS. I laughed out loud on more than one occasion. Favorite Line: “I was hoping she was going to say something along the lines of ‘oh, nothing to worry about. I can give you an awesome spray tan while you are fully clothed!’ That didn’t happen.”
Advice from 1913 by Heavens to Betsy. Another hilarious read! Favorite Line: “Don’t encourage her to be hysterical. You need not be unkind, but you can firmly refuse to pity her.”
There were quite a few responses to last week’s non-blogging article, Dear Church, Here’s Why People Are Leaving You by John Pavlovitz. I will definitely be posting a follow-up/response but need some more time to gather my thoughts.
Have a great weekend, all!
