Hi and happy Monday!! Do you guys realize this is the last Grateful Heart Monday of this year?? This linkup began almost exactly a year ago – actually, it will be a year old tomorrow, and when it began, it wasn’t even a linkup. I started sharing my own grateful heart with this space randomly, on a Monday, with the thought that the beginning of the work week didn’t have to be a bummer of a day.
At the time, this blog was only a few weeks old and my new blogging friend Anne commented on my very first GH post, telling me she loved the idea and wanted to do it too. Believe it or not, she was the only person to comment and I’m pretty sure she was the only other blogger reading my blog at the time 😉 I think back over this past year and am so grateful for what this idea/series has turned into… I am so thankful for all of the people I have met through this now linkup. I smile when I think of how Anne was my very first blogger in my “Tribe,” and I am excited knowing it will only continue to grow through this next year as Grateful Heart continues as well.
So, today – I am grateful for this linkup and for all of you who take part in it with me. I am grateful for each and every post that is shared in this space and for each and every heart that gives thanks, especially on a Monday 😉 Continuing on with my Grateful Heart: KINDNESS from the last couple weeks, this week I am grateful for the kindness all of you share as you read and comment on the other GH posts with such genuine and sweet words. I love visiting a “new to me” blog to read a GH post and seeing familiar bloggers in the comments sections 🙂
Today may be the Monday after Christmas (aka: especially dreaded for many), but it’s also the last Monday of 2014, and I think that is all the more reason to make it a great one. So, if you’re feeling a little “ugh” today, pick yourself up, think of at least one thing you are genuinely grateful for, ask the person next to you what they’re grateful for, and watch your Monday improve. I’ll see you all in 2015 😉
What are you grateful for?
Link up below and join the rest of us in starting each day this week with a grateful heart. Not enough time to write a Grateful Heart post today? No worries! This linkup will be open until Friday!
1. Link up to your Grateful Heart post, not just your blog’s homepage, and please link your post back to Ember Grey (via link or GH button) so that others can link up too! *Any posts that do not have to do with this GH topic or those that do not link back up to this blog will be deleted.
2. If you use #gratefulheart on Twitter, tag me and I will retweet! @embergreyblog
