Today, I am grateful for the freedom of gratefulness. Do you know what I mean? The fact that no matter what your heart feels grateful for in the moment- as small or as big as it may be… as deep or shallow as it may seem, it’s all valid. Whether it’s being grateful for life – old or new – or maybe it’s feeling grateful for a warm cup of coffee in the few moments of morning quiet before the craziness of the day starts- it all counts. When the heart is grateful, it’s focused on something higher, something positive, and something that is so good for the soul. I believe that when we focus on such things, rather than the moments that are hard or when life is rough, it keeps us moving forward so that we’re able to gracefully move through those rough times.Today and this week, when met with stress or rough days, I encourage you to focus on the positive. What is the positive, exactly? It’s all of the good things in your life… it’s all of the people, things, and moments your heart is grateful for. Write them down, say them out loud. Even if it’s just one thing that makes your heart happy, it is enough. And believe that it’s enough, to carry you through the hard times. Truthfully, no matter what- there is always something to be grateful for.
What are you grateful for?
